Maybe the way to achieve more and be kinder to ourselves is to do more more for each other and strangers? To experience the joy of sharing and caring as opposed to ongoing accumulation?

I hope everyone had a safe and happy July 4. I found myself very conflicted. I love this country, I surely love it’s people, but I am not in love with much of what I see happening around me and across the nation NOR how others see us. I know one thing for certain, when times get darkest, we must love our brightest and our strongest! Today, like every day, I am rooting for everyone! That means YOU!

On July 4, I planted some trees, ate only local vegetables, called my mom, spoke to my daughter, and sent some notes to people I love. Maybe these are the kinds of celebrations we need every day - not once a year or every 250 years. I’m asking everyone I know to love harder, love stronger, love brighter, bolder, and bigger, and love beyond borders! That’s the nation and the world I want to build, to celebrate, to live in, and leave for my children and their children. I hope you join me.

If there is something I can do to help you, please do not hesitate to ask me. Hold me accountable. I know I rise when I help others! I’m in it for the long game - and for our children! That is an America we can all get behind, support, and love! See you in a classroom, garden, or compost pile soon!
