When it comes to remembering who played an impact in feeding Denvers, homeless and needy, Daddy Bruce has always mentioned. Rosalinda’s hardly ever is mentioned alongside Daddy Bruce. Not to take anything away from what he did but why isn’t Rosalinda mentioned alongside him? The last four years we did over 20,000 meals and we did it for 30 years. Who Belongs on the Mount Rushmore of Denver Food? Let's debate.

Hey Facebook friends and family, long time no chat. We’ve got a huge huge huge favor to ask! Oscar was just contacted by a group from the City and County of Denver.
We need high resolution pictures from the restaurant, specifically pictures involving my mom, her restaurant, her community service and activism, our Thanksgiving dinners, and any other memories that you may want to share. Most of our digital files were corrupted, which is why we are reaching out. We would love to hear your stories and include your pictures of times when memories were created. We know it’s been a few years, but any help would be greatly appreciated!

Good morning, We wake up today without the stress, without the pressures, with out the noise that it took to put on a huge event. We are a little sad, remorseful and nostalgic because we won't be spending Thanksgiving with you. BUT, Today we wake up with a different mission, today marks the first thanksgiving that we will take time for our own families. We will spend it like normal people do on this day. Giving thanks for our blessings. WE WILL HEAL, GET HEALTHY and most of all it is our time to rest. Happy Thanksgiving

Our mission has been completed

An estimated 30,000 Meals were served over 30 years. You Should be proud! Our community stepped in and took the call to action. numerous people and organizations were able to help us accomplish this task every year for that we are grateful .... Our mother and father always said that there are always people in need 364 days a year. If we could come together on Thanksgiving, we should be able to come together and help those in need on the other days. Poverty doesn’t take a break...

With that said our time has come to pass the torch to others in our community. This is the hardest decision we could have made as a family because we too were in the shoes of our guest that walked through our doors every thanksgiving, which is why we took on our mission in 1985 and continued it for 30 years! We did so, so we may never forget where we came from... but with heavy hearts it is now our time to go forward. If we have a legacy it is that we did it with compassion and with honor.

It is time to say goodbye with fondness of what the community accomplished. This wasn't our event, this event was YOUR EVENT and you made it happen. You should be proud of yourselves as you are proud us. We couldn't have done it without you. We walk away with honor and gratitude for your support and your service.

After 30 years of operating as a family business, it is with both sadness and peace of mind that the Aguirre Family announces the retirement of Rosa Linda’s Mexican Café effective October 30th 2015. It has been one of the hardest decisions we have had to make.

Several factors played into our decision such as the children’s pursuit of other professional endeavors, and the parents’ need to retire.

With that said, we also regretfully announce that our Annual Thanksgiving Feast to the Needy has been canceled. We know many volunteers and guests looked forward to attending our event and it become a tradition for many. We are grateful for the wonderful support given throughout the 30 years of our Thanksgiving feast, and look forward to establishing new traditions.

We thank all our friends and extended family for giving us the honor to serve you! We will miss you as we start our next journey. Thank you again

Friends and family of our Thanksgiving community, we are saddened to inform you that we lost one of our own yesterday. Mr Eloy Espinosa lost his battle with cancer. Mr. And Mrs. Espinoza were our greeters welcoming our guest since the beginning. Our son's grew up together and Eloy was a mentor and a father figure to many Northsiders, a community activists, and a husband. Mr Espinosa will be missed. Rest in peace
