We are the Music Department at the Community College of Denver. Our program features a state-of-the-art computer lab with current licenses of Ableton Live Suite, Logic Pro X, and Pro Tools. The lab come equipped with a sound proof booth, Apollo, Focusrite, and PreSonus interfaces and Push, Akai, and M-Audio controllers. Each year we go to Ball Arena and learn about all of the amazing AV technology inside of a major sports arena and TV broadcast center.

Providing opportunities for CCD Recording Arts students to have their music heard and shared with the public is an important part of our program. One such opportunity is the Experience Gallery.
Housed in the Denver Performing Arts Complex, this gallery show is a collab between our students, CCD Architecture students, and students in the Visual Arts and Graphic Design programs.

CCD Recording Arts students made a trip to Rocky Mountain AVX to learn more about the Audio Video industry.
We want our students to be stars, producers, engineers, and recording artists but we also want them to have well paying jobs in the industry.

As we near the end of our 2nd year in the Recording Arts Technology program at the Community College of Denver, we thought it was time to start sharing some of the great things we are doing.
In Live Audio Engineering, last Friday students had to share out final projects of digital mixer scenes (Midas Group Audio & Visual) and set up matching stage plots. Other students had to solder cables.
In the spring we also ran sound for the production of Re**er Madness, the musical.
As high ed continues to raise tuition rates for an often unprovable return, we are the affordable choice.
PLEASE SHARE YOUR STORIES! As we approach the end of the semester (coming faster than we'd like), we are looking for compelling stories to highlight alumni, student, and faculty recent accomplishments. To reach this goal, we would appreciate any leads about areas where you all are making the world a better, more interesting, and more inclusive place!
These accomplishments are not limited to your areas of study, though those are interesting! A few prompts are outlined below:
- Accomplishments in area(s) of study: Awards, degrees, recognition, participation in co-curricular projects, new jobs, etc.
- Accomplishments of service: community service projects, collaborations with organizations, performances, teaching experiences, projects done
- Personal Achievements: sporting events, compelling life events, overcoming personal hardships/challenges, etc.
Any of these ideas can be sent directly to me via email at [email protected] and I will forward them to the CCD marketing team. They will select a few to develop into news stories and content on social media. If you are pointing us in the direction of a specific student or alumni (or yourself), please include the best way to contact them.
