Making a Better World at AXL Academy

During Make a Better World Week, students across AXL Academy took part in meaningful projects that showed how small actions can make a big impact.

In PE, students celebrated May Day by creating thoughtful baskets filled with treats for every staff member, spreading appreciation and kindness throughout the school.

Many classes focused on giving back and caring for the community. First graders learned how to protect birds, while second graders collected cans for a food drive. Fourth graders cleaned up Tollgate Park and explored the importance of recycling, and eighth graders are planning a bake sale to support a charitable cause.

Students also worked to uplift those around them. Our mental health SPED team and counselors encouraged scholars to post positive messages around the building, while Level Up students added encouraging notes on sidewalks and created thank you cards for supportive adults.

Through these projects, AXL students embraced the spirit of service and leadership, truly living out our motto: Engage. Empower. Achieve.

AXL Academy is proud to share that we raised an amazing $1,881.78 during this year’s Kids Heart Challenge!

We are excited to celebrate our two top donation winners. A huge congratulations to Elliott Hartley, a 1st grade student in Ms. Nisha’s class, and Andrew Bautista, a 4th grade student in Ms. Ringrose’s class! Their outstanding efforts earned them each 2 FREE Water World tickets, along with their special thank-you gifts.

Because of the incredible generosity of our AXL Academy families and staff, this 2-day event was a huge success. Your support helped promote healthy hearts and active lifestyles while benefiting the American Heart Association.
