Meet David Lian, our student chapter's secretary. "AADE means so much to me. It seems to me like yesterday that I and Jana recruited some students to be a part of AADE and now we already had great alumnus already in our chapter. Being in the leadership team of AADE has taught me skills that I could not get out of lectures slides. The acquaintances that I met over the course of these couple years through AADE has inspired me and shaped me to become a better student, a leader and over all a better human being. "

Earlier this month a group of AADE members traveled to Fort Worth, TX to attend the regional AADE meeting. The group also visited Ulterra Drill Bit’s manufacturing plant and Total’s frac site!

Meet Brad Freed, our student chapters Treasurer. Brad is a senior in the Petroleum Engineering program, graduating in December 2019. Brad has previous experience as an intern for Chevron in their drilling and completions department and Farnsworth Group, Inc., a mid-stream pipeline company. "I enjoy serving AADE and being a founding member of our great chapter. I love the camaraderie among all of our members and all of the students in our department."

Meet Anna Ramirez, our student chapter's Vice President. Anna is a senior in the Petroleum Engineering program, graduating in May of 2019. "I have greatly enjoyed being a part of AADE at S&T. This organization has allowed me to meet so many new people, classmates and industry professionals alike. I am excited to be serving on the executive board and look forward to all the opportunities that my final collegiate year holds."
WHAT: American Association of Drilling Engineers(AADE) will be hosting a tailgate
WHEN: 5 pm on Saturday, October 27 (kickoff for the football game is at 7pm and is free for students to get in with a student ID)
WHERE: Recreation Center parking lot
WHO: We would like to encourage all GGPE students and faculty to attend!
WHY: To support our athletes and meet new people in the department!
Hot dogs and hamburgers will be provided and you are responsible for bringing your own beverage!

Meet Dalton Buchanan, our student chapter's President. Dalton is a senior in the Petroleum Engineering program, graduating in May of 2019. "Starting AADE has been nothing short of life changing for me. Before the organization started all I wanted was a job in oil and gas, but now, after getting to meet so many amazing people in the industry, my career in petroleum is going to take me to places that I never even dreamt of. Being in AADE was the best decision I made at Missouri S&T."
