A great new group of volunteers is involved with planning the 2013 Retreat.
On July 10, the planning committee heard from Susan Beckman, Arapahoe County Commissioner, and representatives of Urban Drainage, about plans for improvements along the South Platte River and the importance of these improvements for the economic and environmental health of Littleton and other communities along the river corridor.

Community Leaders Endorse Retreat!
Thirty community leaders came together on April 19 to discuss the future of the Littleton Community Retreat. Invited by the Retreat’s Planning Committee to a luncheon, the community leaders reviewed the long history and accomplishments of the Retreat, and gave a unanimous “thumbs-up” to its value to the Greater Littleton area, urging that it be continued into the future.
Those in attendance represented the Regional Transportation District, City of Littleton, Rotary Club of Littleton and Littleton Breakfast Rotary, Friends of the Library/Museum, Colorado Center for the Blind, South Metro Chamber of Commerce, FirstBank, Colorado Business Bank, Aspen Grove, Littleton Public Schools and its Foundation, South Suburban Park and Recreation District, Arapahoe Community College Foundation, Historic Downtown Littleton Merchants Association, Littleton Independent, Arapahoe/Douglas Mental Health Network, the Colorado Association of Realtors, and Century Link.
