The Journey: Waking up to the 3:30AM alarm I remember laying in bed still tired from the prior day. I had exactly 30mins to get myself together Shower, hair, clothes picked out for me and my three girls. I had to set out breakfast and their outfits for the day. I wake the girls up and go through the battle of " I'm too tired mom" the kicking and crying and the awake death stare. I always had to give them at least 10 mins to awaken for the day. Guide them to go eat the food I just prepared for them, Then start the getting dressed process. Kissing my girls on the head I tell them each to go brush their teeth and wash their faces. I Start to prepare my coffee to take with me realizing I forgot to buy the sugar the tiring day before. I remember thinking I'll just get some from the job to add to later. Interrupted from that thought I could hear my girls arguing about who gonna be first to brush their teeth. After playing referee for a couple minutes I had got them back on track by sending one to get dressed bringing the other with me to get her hair done leaving the other to brush her teeth and wash her face. Once they all went through the cycle of different stations it was now time to put on shoes. By this time it was 430AM. I had to be clocked in for work at 545Am and my job was roughly15-20 mins away. WE WERE MAKING GOOD TIME! I had already had a Para to bring my kids to my bus (school bus)once I was done pretripping. Interrupted from that thought my youngest was crying and a mess over not being able to find her shoes and how no body (her sisters) was not helping her. 10 mins later the shoes were FOUND! YES ANOTHER VICTORY! Still on good time. Now it's 440 in the morning and we must be to terminal 15Mins before clock in. We start to load in my 2022 Buick Encore. We get distracted by another argument on where who was gonna sit where and how the other was in the way of the other for placing seatbelts on! (LORD WHY!!!!) After couple of seconds of me yelling in this car we got it all figured out looked at the time it's now 455 AM. We make it to Monaco Pkwy and I realized I forgot my coffee at home. There was no way I could go back and still be on time. So I had to improvise. We hook a right on monaco and head up towards Evans where there is a Starbucks drive thru. I ordered my pikes peaks coffee and got the girls some Cake Pops. The time is now 510AM. We make it to the terminal at 530AM!!! Yess We are making good time! I can't clock in until 5 mins before so we just hang out in the car for a few mins. At 540 I started walking into the terminal to punch in. I punch in at 543AM. This is when my day went down hill. My supervisor brought me into his office and asked me why was I taking my out of district kids to school on the this district bus. I remember feeling frustrated because I have been doing this for the past almost 4 years of me being there only as needed. To sum the Scenario up I was told I could no longer bring my kids with me. I went through a battle for 2 1/2 weeks not being aloud to bring my kids during a time that I really needed to being them. Once it was all said and done I made it happen! Everyone was aloud to bring their kids til the remainder of the school year within means and they would try to implement it for the next school year as well. Although that was a major overturn I was still 2 1/2 weeks short of pay and really discussed with how leadership would cause you problems. I never brought my kids back to that place and had to make a decision! I told my self this was my last school year at this district and I was going to go into business for myself. HERO KIDS AROUND THE CLOCK has helped me and so many other people with similar situations to beat the ODDS and come up with a new way to generate a wealthy income and to be present in taking care of their Loved ones!
