I think it's time for a little re-introduction: I'm the founder of a female focused networking organization called Second Degree Society and have been creating intentional connections for the past 10 years. Through networking, I've unlocked partnerships, collaborations, friendships, even romantic relationships (like meeting my hubby, but that's a story for another day). I'm pulling back the curtain on how I've networked and teaching my networking blueprint for the very first time. This 5 week program is a hybrid of group coaching and 1x1 with me and will give you the tools to feel confident in networking like a pro.

What a fun weekend celebrating Passover and Easter surrounded by friends and family. 🐰

In 2014 I started a community. I truly didn’t mean to. It was supposed to be a one time thing but after each event I was inspired to do more for this growing accidental community.

I knew absolutely nothing about starting a community and my only examples of community were the Junior League and Ivy-- two very different spaces than what I was creating.

Nearly 10 years later and thousands of events, I’ve launched memberships, a crowd funding campaign, masterminds, coaching, a podcast and so much more.

But I didn’t know what I didn’t know and I have so much to thank to coaches and communities I’ve been to have made these tweaks.

I’m launching the Sixth Degree Mastermind for community builders— this is a space for community builders to come together to learn, grow and collaborate (and commiserate) together.

Where are you going? Do you have it all mapped out? ⁠

We spend so much time planning for the future that at times we forget to live in the present. ⁠
⁠
Here are some things I'm doing to live in the moment. ⁠
⁠
1. Journaling: Trying to do it daily and writing down the way I'm feeling mentally and physically ⁠
⁠
2. Disconnecting: Keeping my phone on do not disturb while I go through my day ⁠
⁠
3. Getting outside: I can spend days not going outside but 5, 10 minutes of sunshine can transform my day. ⁠

4. Cat Naps: 15 minutes alone time to close my body and reset my day and nervous systems. ⁠

What are you doing to stay present?

I never would have thought I’d be so involved in my alma matar but over the last 14 years I’ve hosted Denison Everywhere in NYC, SF and now Denver. I’m always in awe of the caliber of alumni and excited to be back amongst them. Are you an active alumni??

What a wonderful whirlwind and wet few days in San Francisco celebrating birthdays, births, anniversaries and moved. It was exactly one year ago we made the move to Denver and it was lovely spending time with our SF people (and bummed to miss seeing others).

Cheers to 2023 and a year filled with great learnings, growth adventure, laughter and love. Grateful to spend the end of the year with these amazing humans.
