3 Reasons Why The Arrest Of A Journalist By Belarus Is Troubling 05/25/2021

On Monday, May 24th, Roman Protasevich, a Belarusian journalist and activist who spoke out against the authoritarian leadership of President Alexander Lukashenko, was arrested after his plane was diverted to Minsk for "suspected security threats".

This act has sparked outrage by many international leaders; raising concerns regarding its global implications and the extent to which the Belarusian government went to make the arrest.
