ANSWER: Nothing, just leave it where it is... and definitely don't eat off of it!
Place plates or chargers are decorative "plates" there to protect the tablecloth from food droppings, they are not plates to be eaten off of. Typically each course will be served and placed on the charger throughout the meal; however, the charger will not move.
