Crafted to support vibrant health and well-being through a variety of creative quests, "Enchanted Planet" is a place where everything is possible. Based on the award-winning children’s series, "Animals Get Funky!", host Sarahndipity Johnsen explores early childhood themes thr
ough movement, innovation, and playful animal antics. Each episode is set on a whimsical 3D world where a diverse cast of navigators engage viewers with intriguing ideas and imaginative investigations. This children's television series first premiered on Rocky Mountain PBS and is now streaming globally through PBS at: pbs.org/show/enchanted-planet
Curriculum areas include:
• Story Time - This skill building segment teaches children key literacy skills and features incredible authors, illustrators, and imagery.
• Tinker Time - These STEAMpunk mini-lessons engage scientists, technological creators, engineers, artists, and mathematicians with creative ideas to try at home.
• Dance Party - Based on Sarahndipity Johnsen’s music and book series, Animals Get Funky, each episode explores different physical movements from Anne Green Gilbert's Dance Concepts and BrainDance. Discover how these skills can positively affect cognition, creativity, skill development, and behavior.
• Forest Friends - Grand Sappy, Happy Hedgehog, Unique Unicorn, and all of our forest friends come to life with award-winning Folkmanis Puppets and share tools for social, emotional, and mental well-being from the children’s book, Animals Get Emotional. Learn healthy ways to support and deal with big feelings.
• Kids Share – With a mission to help families and teachers build strong, healthy communities, this segment highlights, celebrates, and empowers the unique gifts of children and families. Do you have a video or photo to submit for an upcoming episode? We'd love to see it.
• Spanish Exploration - Miss Sandra, The Librarian, teaches Spanish words and phrases to help expand our vocabulary and ability to understand, appreciate, and communicate with each other.
• Animal Fun Facts – Rachel teaches about the life, habitat, behavior, and characteristics of endangered species and other animal friends.
