For those Retired Members that worked with Sal. NEA was blessed to have him.

Sal helped the Denver Classroom Teachers Association with its organizing and successful strikes. Sal was a terrific organizer, speaker, and trainer.

We did it!

After a marathon session yesterday, SB26-135 officially passed at 1:20 AM and is headed to the November 2026 ballot.

CEA members across the state emailed senators and representatives, showed up in their communities, testified, rallied, shared their stories, and kept the pressure on until our elected officials ran our bill.

Now, Colorado voters will have the chance to cut the ropes holding back our schools and build the fully staffed, fully funded, fully supported public schools every student deserves.

Today, we celebrate. Tomorrow, we keep organizing.
