🍂🍁 Happy Autumn Equinox! ¡Feliz Equinoccio de Otoño! 🍁🍂
At Mountain Juniper, we honor the rhythms of nature and the changing seasons as a way to foster inclusivity and connection with our planet. Our Autumn Equinox celebration was filled with hands-on learning, curiosity, and joyful discovery! Using our Painted Globe and Sun, the children embodied the Earth, revolving around the Sun while also spinning on their axis. By observing how sunlight reaches different parts of the Earth, they deepened their understanding of how the tilt of our planet creates the changing seasons. We welcomed autumn through songs, conversations about the changes happening in nature, and moments of reflection. We talked about the beauty of transition, the changing leaves, cooler days, and the way nature begins to slow down and prepare for winter. The Autumn Equinox reminds us of a beautiful moment of balance, when day and night are nearly equal. We are grateful for this season of harvest, change, reflection, and connection with the natural world. Wishing our Mountain Juniper families a beautiful autumn filled with wonder, gratitude, and cozy moments together.
