Here is what our homeschoolers have to say about our Fitness program π
Every child is a creator. But not every child creates the same way. Some build with their hands. Some lead with questions.
Some make sense of the world through stories. Our goal is to develop who they are, not conform them to a system they are not.

Our Help the Pollinators Community Event was everything we hoped it would be! A local expert kicked things off by teaching us how pollination actually works and then took the kids outside for some hands-on experience. Q-tips in hand, moving pollen from flower to flower just like a bee would.
Back inside, the making began. Three stations, three projects, every single one going home to help local pollinators:
Bee hotels β cans packed with paper tubes, ready to hang and welcome solitary bees
Seed bombs β clay, compost, and wildflower seeds rolled up and ready to toss
Seed starter greenhouses β toilet paper tubes, potting soil, and seeds tucked into their own little greenhouse to grow at
The focus, the creativity, and the pride on these kids' faces said everything. They didn't just learn about pollinators, they built something that will actually help them.
More community events coming. Stay tuned.

Today we celebrated Miss Maggie's birthday the only way we know how β with sweat, teamwork, and a whole lot of fun! The kids kicked off with a handmade birthday sign, then moved through agility work on the ladder, strength circuits in teams (bear crawl holds, wall sits, dumbbell rows, bench presses), competitive games, a wall sit jumping jack challenge, and finished it all with birthday burpees while singing. Now that's a celebration!
First session is FREE β come join our community!

Some kids don't learn by listening. They learn by building.
They take apart the remote control. They turn a cardboard box into a spaceship. They understand fractions after they cut a board to length, not after they finish a workbook.
If that sounds like your child, they might be a Maker.
At Creative Pathways Learning Center, we believe every child is a creator; it's how they create that differs.
We're building a place where, no matter who they are, they can learn in the way that most closely aligns with their identity. Because this is how learning becomes fun. This is how learning sticks.
We'll release more pathways each week, and we hope you'll follow along. Tell us in the comments below. Does your kid sound like a maker?

It is so encouraging to see this movement take off. Childhood only happens once and the evidence is in β a phone based childhood is detrimental to our kids their future flourishing.
We have kept smartphones out of our own children's hands and we fully support other families in this decision. Technology is an important part of the future, but it should never replace the authentic joys of play and human connection.
The Anxious Generation was published 2 years ago, in a very different world.
We're getting . We're getting age limits on social media. We're seeing whole neighborhoods letting their kids out to play, with each other, unsupervised β what we older folks remember as the best parts of childhood.
I'd like to recognize:
ππΌ The mothers (and fathers) who rose up by the millions
ππΌ The farsighted governors and legislators in red and blue states
ππΌ The leaders of dozens of nations who are getting phones out of schools and raising the age to 16 for social media accounts (Australia being first)
ππΌ The teachers and school administrators who had their classrooms disrupted for 15 years, and who are now giving students phone-free schools
ππΌ The grassroots orgs advocating for all of the above in their local communities
ππΌ The millions of members of Gen Z who have been rising up, forming activist groups, or just finding better ways to connect in real life
And one final group: the survivor parents. I've met many over the years. I am in awe of their courage and tenacity. At long last, juries and legislatures are hearing you, and are acting.
Together, we are calling the train back to the station. Together, we are rolling back the phone based childhood and reclaiming life in the real world.
