Quality lab role at Danone yogurt manufacturing plant
primarily performing routine tasks – pH, viscosity, sample evaluations, microbiological plating, hydrogen peroxide testing, sample collection, computer entry, etc.

New Grads welcome!

Hours would be roughly 6am to 2:30pm. This lab temp would be working alongside experienced lab techs.

Duration would likely be 3-4 months

POSITION DESCRIPTION:
Tests and inspects product at various stages of the production process.
Collects and evaluates statistical data to determine, as well as
maintain the quality and reliability of products by performing the
essential duties required and more.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Inspects and selects product at different stages of production to be
tested
Analyzes incoming ingredients and ensures compliance to
specifications
Performs Quality Team Audits
Help maintain lab, lab equipment and supplies in compliance with
HACCP, FQP, GMP and Safety SOP
Records and evaluates test data from samples
Prepares necessary medias and reagents needed for laboratory
functioning
Acts as facilitator/coach in areas of safety and quality
Lifting up to 50 lbs. and push a sample cart up to 350 lbs.
Other duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS:
Education and Experience:
Bachelor's degree (B.A.) from a 4-year college or university in Food
Science or related area

Knowledge of the chemical composition, structure, and properties of
substances and of the chemical processes and transformations that they
undergo
Knowledge of uses of chemicals and their interactions, danger signs,
production techniques, and disposal methods
Knowledge of electronic equipment, and computer hardware and
software, including applications and programming
Knowledge of relevant equipment, policies, procedures, and
strategies to promote effective local, state, or national security
operations for the protection of people, data, property,
