The Department of Computer Science & Engineering at the University of North Texas (located in Denton, TX) are looking for adjunct faculty to cover the following in-person courses, starting on January 17th:

Undergraduate:
CSCE 3110.001 Data Structures and Algorithms
CSCE 3600.003 Systems Programming

Graduate:
CSCE 5450 Programming Languages
CSCE 5370 Dist. Parallel Database
CSCE 5150 Algorithms
CSCE 5380/4380 Data Mining
CSCE 5580 Computer Networks (2 sections)

For the undergraduate courses, a master’s degree is required. For the graduate courses, a PhD is required. Pay is $7500 per course (plus overload if a large course).

You can earn your technical degree and getting your teaching certification at the same time! Pursue the BA in IT and be part of the Teach North Texas program and yo ucan be certified as a Secondary and High School Technology Teacher. Online Courses Available!
We are moving forward with having the BAIT courses available online. 3 courses are being offered during the Spring 2020 semester, with more to follow in the coming Fall. You can complete your lower division core, math, science and CS courses at one of our partner community colleges. Then you can take the upper division courses with UNT online to complete your Bachelor's degree. Stay tuned for more information!

Professional Development Opportunity for Teachers

If you are a High School or Community College STEM teacher, you may be aware of the AP Computer Science Principles Exam (or dual creid) opportunity that became available in the last couple of years. UNT CSE is hosting a Professional Development Program for the BJC Curriculum and Teacher Prep the summer in Denton.
Applications are currently open for the BJC Summer 2019 Professional Development Program! (due May 15, 2019)

The Beauty and Joy of Computing (BJC) is a College Board endorsed curriculum and professional development provider for the AP Computer Science Principles course. We are excited to announce two different PD opportunities for teachers this Summer 2019.

BJC has regional Summer PD for public school teachers at different locations and dates around the country. The cost of the workshop is only $75 and includes all materials and ongoing support and mentorship throughout the school year by our BJC Master Teachers. Teachers who complete the requirements will be eligible for a stipend and coverage for travel and lodging expenses.
