Last Friday, we celebrated our Hooding Ceremony and what a wonderful day it was! I hope everyone enjoyed the celebration with us that day and throughout the weekend. Congratulations to all of our graduate and undergraduate students on this incredible accomplishment. We are so proud of all your hard work, dedication, and achievements, and we can’t wait to see all the amazing things ahead for you! 🎓✨

Today we held our second annual internship cording ceremony for this semester’s cohort of interns. We had a wonderful time celebrating them and all of their achievements within their internships! Thank you so much to all of our community partners that paired with them, and we look forward to another amazing year working with you 💚🦅

We had a great time at the CLASS Student Ambassador Social 💚 We’ve had an amazing year with current ambassadors Chloe and Yesmina, and we are so excited to welcome our new ambassadors Cameren and Brooklyne!

SO MUCH to celebrate lately! Tonight, congratulations to Dr. Karine Narahara for winning UNT’s award for internationalizing UNT‘s curriculum, and giving the department a chance to get rowdy! We also had a visit by Dr. Milena Melo (who won an award for mentoring one of our grad students), and Ann Jordan just last week.

Today, UNT had their student employer appreciation and award luncheon. Carter and Carolina play such an important role in our department. Always smiling and always being so positive!! If you happen to see them this week, show them some love and let them know how much we appreciate them.

Wrapping up a successful first student research conference- great to have Dr’s Lance Rasbridge, Andu Meharie, and Ann Jordan back at UNT. Andu was the very FIRST graduate of our MA program, 25 years ago.

By student request, this year we brought back an old rivalry— faculty vs students kickball! It was a great game and the students really brought the heat. But in the end, the faculty team retained their status as all time kickball champs 🏆 👏💚 extra special thanks to Dean Bimper for joining the fun and showing how it’s done on the pitchers mound!
