2nd Grade students participated in International Dot Day earlier this week! They created their own special dot to add to the colorful Dot Day mural that lines the halls at CE!

International Dot Day is a global annual celebration of creativity, courage, and collaboration based on Peter H. Reynolds' beloved children's book "The Dot".
The book encourages students and adults to "make their mark" and start their creative journeys from a simple point. 🎨🖼️🔵

2nd Grade is learning all about Ancient Greece and Athens, which is where many olive trees were grown after Athena gifted them a single tree. Students were able to do a taste test of olives to see what was so great about the gift. The reviews were mixed!
