Voorhees University School of Business & Entrepreneurship on the Move!

Recently, our Accounting and Finance students had the incredible opportunity to travel to Atlanta, GA to attend the National Association of Black Accountants (NABA) Regional Conference!

During the conference, students were able to network with business leaders from across the nation, as well as discuss internship opportunities and potential employment after graduation. The experience was both inspiring and empowering for our students!

A special thank you to the NABA organization for providing such an awesome platform for our students and a special thanks to our amazing Dean, Dr. Katherine Whitaker, for going above and beyond to make this experience possible.

Today we would like to recognize alumna Ms. Talyia Durant, a 2018 graduate of Voorhees University (formerly Voorhees College) who graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Accounting. Since earning her degree, she has continued her studies and has received an MBA-Accounting from the University of South Carolina-Aiken. Throughout her career she has served as a Senior Accountant and Fiscal Analyst. She is currently employed as a Senior Accountant for the SC Rural Infrastructure Authority.
