Survey for FAMILIES - Help Protect Access to ABA Therapy for Florida Families

Since Florida Medicaid transitioned to Managed Care Organizations (MCOs) in February 2025, many families have experienced delays, reductions, and disruptions in accessing Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) therapy. We are collecting information from families across Florida to better understand how these changes have affected access to medically necessary services.

This confidential survey takes just 3–5 minutes to complete. Your responses will help identify statewide trends and provide lawmakers, state agencies, and advocacy organizations with real-world data to support efforts to improve access to ABA therapy for Florida's children and families.

Every response matters. Please complete the survey and share it with other Florida Medicaid families receiving ABA services so we can ensure every family's experience is represented.

Your Voice Can Shape the Future of ABA Services in Florida

Florida's ABA provider community is facing unprecedented challenges that directly affect children with autism and their families. Changes to Medicaid managed care, reimbursement, authorizations, claims processing, and administrative requirements have impacted providers' ability to deliver medically necessary services across the state.

This survey is an opportunity to ensure those experiences are documented with real data—not anecdotes. The information you provide will be compiled into statewide reports that will be shared with Florida legislators, the Agency for Health Care Administration (AHCA), Medicaid Managed Care Organizations, and other key decision-makers to advocate for meaningful policy improvements that protect access to ABA services.

Whether your organization has reduced services, left a Medicaid network, expanded waitlists, or continues to serve families despite increasing challenges, your experience matters. Every response strengthens our ability to demonstrate the real-world impact of current policies and advocate for sustainable solutions.

The survey takes approximately 3–5 minutes, is anonymous, and does not collect any client information or PHI.

Please take a few minutes to share your experience and help ensure that the voices of Florida's ABA providers are heard. Together, we can work toward improving access to medically necessary ABA services for the children and families who depend on them.

It seems like this is the year to fight for our kiddos! Medicaid allowed for-profit, private corporations to take over ABA therapy services last year and now those corporations are cutting our pay by 20% so they can make more profit! Please take a look at the flyer and reach out to legislators to tell them it is NOT ok to reduce pay even further when Florida is 49/50 on pay rates but 19/50 in cost of living! Our kiddos wont have support if our staff can't get paid any more than a McDonald's worker!
