Today we celebrated the last day of Wednesday classes by having a field day for all DRCHA families! It was so fun to have siblings and parents join us outside for some fun games (even through it was a little chilly). We finished the fun morning with a picnic!

Today was our last gym class for the school year! We finished the year going through stations, practicing our overhand and underhand throwing.

We are having an art camp this summer! Sign up for a day full of fun under the sea art projects using tempera paint, watercolors, oil pastels, model magic and more!

One of my favorite things about our music appreciation class is seeing adults pick up the instruments they once played and realize that while some of the skill may be rusty, the talent is still there. It just needs a little honing.

Even better is watching the children see them try again, even imperfectly. There is something beautiful about kids watching adults be brave enough to learn, practice, and try again.

In Music Appreciation class, students have been learning about different instruments and musical styles. Last week we had a special guest, Catrina Radach, join us to share about the violin. Even though she has only been practicing for about a year, she was willing to demonstrate what she has learned and give students a closer look at the instrument.
It was a great opportunity for students to hear live music, ask questions, and see the dedication it takes to learn a new instrument. We are thankful for people in our community who are willing to share their gifts and learning with our students! 🎻

We didn't have Wednesday classes today because of TeenPact, but here is another video from our classes last week! In geology we finished up learning about volcanoes by constructing and erupting our own volcanoes!
