You made a gauge swatch… and it doesn’t match the pattern. Now what?
The good news is this is completely normal. Most knitters need to adjust their needle size before starting a project.
✔️ Too many stitches? Your gauge is tight — try going up a needle size.
✔️ Too few stitches? Your gauge is loose — try going down a needle size.
Knit another swatch and measure again until your gauge matches the pattern.
