Take 2 - February 12, 2025 - Cultures of Thinking Summit Earlier this month, DMUSD hosted a global summit on deep thinking in schools, welcoming educators from The Netherlands, Canada, and across the U.S. The event featured renowned researchers Dr. Ron Ritchhart and Mark Church, whose work with Harvard Project Zero has transformed teaching and learning. Through workshops, panel discussions, and breakout sessions, participants explored strategies for making thinking visible in classrooms. DMUSD educators played a key role, leading sessions and sharing best practices. This collaboration reinforced the importance of fostering strong thinking habits, empowering students to engage critically and thrive in their learning journey.

I’m constantly amazed by the connections between who we are today and the belief systems that have guided us for decades. When I look back, there are mentions of 'innovation,' 'making school meaningful,' and 'pilot projects' that date back years and even generations.
