We’re excited to share that the Decatur Park District has donated a bundle of free family passes to give away at our 2nd Annual Donuts for a Difference Autism Awareness Walk! 💙🍩

Because of their generosity, three lucky families will have the chance to win one of the following:

• 4 passes to Scovill Zoo 🦒
• 4 passes to mini golf at Scovill Zoo ⛳
• 4 passes to Splash Cove 💦

All passes are good through the 2027 season!

🍩💙 Our 2nd Annual Donuts for a Difference Autism Awareness Walk is here! 💙🍩

Join Golden Steps Academy for a fun, family-friendly afternoon filled with awareness, acceptance, inclusion, and community. We’re excited to bring families, supporters, vendors, and local resources together for another special day!

📅 Saturday, October 17th, 2026
📍 Forsyth Park – Decatur, IL
🕦 Check-in begins at 11:30 AM
🚶🏽 Walk starts at 12:00 PM
⏰ Event ends at 3:00 PM

Registration is $15 per person and $5 for children.

Congratulations to Golden Steps Academy's Very First Graduating Class 💛 🎓

This week was filled with celebration, connection, and reflection as we honored our very first graduating class of Golden Scholars!

This week scholars practiced all of the social skills that they have worked so hard to develop, including communication, turn-taking, emotional regulation, peer interaction, problem-solving, and self-advocacy. Watching their growth has been truly inspiring.

Every certificate earned represents hard work, perseverance, and meaningful progress. We are incredibly proud of each scholar and grateful to the families who trusted us to be part of their journey.
