Learn how to run sound, compose, produce and perform like a
Rock Star! With the help of musicians with
years of studio and live performance experience, students will enjoy a week full of
learning and fun. GUITAR:
Depending on their level of play, Guitarists will learn everything from basic
chords, picking and strumming to soloing techniques and advanced rhythm
guitar. BASS:
Depending on their leve
l of play, bassists will learn technique, dexterity and
scales as well as tips for improvisational playing. VOCALS:
Singers will learn skills to improve their delivery and enhance their voices. Vocal range, projection
and harmony are part of this course as well as practices for warm-up and relaxation. DRUMS:
Depending on their level of play, drummers will learn everything from timing and rhythm exercises
to more complicated beats and solo techniques. PRODUCTION:
Production is a part of any performance and is not
forgotten in this camp. In addition to learning how
to better their playing skills, students can also learn
the behind the scenes production.boards to help
make your band sound like the pros. SONGWRITING:
Aspiring writers will have a
peak into the mind of current
singer/songwriters for an
understanding of what makes
truly great songs. PERFORMANCE:
The camp will end with a Saturday performance where the students will all perform in their very own rock band. There they are able to demonstrate to family and friends how far they have come. Every concert will be recorded and a concert DVD will be available for parents.
