Discovered a Blue Cornflower growing in my flower bed and had to do some sketches of it. 🥰
Planning on doing a block print of it soon.

Really how this design turned out😍 Something I had sketched months ago but got stuck on how to finish it. Great reminder that some designs need breathing space and more patience.

Experimenting with printing Cyanotype bookmarks today! These are thin wooden bookmarks that are perfect for capturing some of my smallest flower and plant pressings.
Which one is your favorite?😉

Finished up my latest design last night in Procreate😊
Am currently obsessed with vines, especially invasive ones with beautiful blooms. Like many cities in the South, there are many places here that have been taken over by it; an old greenhouse, an electrical box, a path in the woods. Anyway, I think I might spend the rest of the summer designing patterns around all these vines that want to envelope and transform.

It's been super rainy here for days but at least my garden Cosmo plant is giving off sooo many blooms😍

Just finished printing several sets of these fun paper coasters with a transfer print of a small leaf from my Rabbit foot fern. I've had that fern for years and love it's lacey look and furry "rabbit foot" ends.
These will be available at my next event, but he Browse and Stroll market on Saturday.

Started yesterday morning with coffee and an amazing botanical book, The Art of Botanical illustration. Was particularly drawn to these 15th century drawings and woodcuts of the Mandrake plant.
A perennial herb, the Mandrake can be found in many ancient texts as an anesthetic, fertility treatment, and aphrodisiac.
Because the root of the plant has a human like form, legend is that you would hear a scream when digging it up😳
I ended up doing these 2 loose watercolors inspired by it. Might do a few more because I really enjoyed the process 😊
