❤️ Learning Skills That Save Lives! ❤️

Meigs County High School Medical Therapeutics students recently visited Meigs Middle School to teach 6th-grade students the lifesaving skills of Heartsaver CPR and how to use an AED!

During this hands-on experience, every 6th-grade student had the opportunity to practice CPR skills on a manikin and complete a skills check-off with our high school students.

While this was not a CPR certification course, it was a valuable opportunity to introduce students to the importance of recognizing an emergency, taking action, and potentially saving a life!

We are so proud of our high school students for stepping into the role of educators and sharing their knowledge with our younger students! ❤️🩺

We’re excited to introduce club time into our school day every Friday! Each student gets to choose four clubs or activities to be a part of throughout the year, giving everyone an opportunity to explore their interests, discover new passions, and connect with others in our school community. And the choices are so much fun! 🙌 Students can choose from FCA, FFA, yoga, photography, history, karaoke, chess, esports, Bible study groups, dodgeball, poetry, coding, gardening, HOSA, and so much more! We’re excited to see our students get involved, try something new, and build relationships.

Last week, MCHS had the privilege of hosting UT's Find Your Future program. This exciting event featured President Randy Boyd from the University of Tennessee Knoxville, the University of Tennessee in Chattanooga's Chancellor Lori Bruce, and UTC alumnus Ashley McKnight. The program encouraged students to dream big, explore their opportunities, and continue learning. We are grateful to the University of Tennessee for investing in our students and providing such an inspiring experience! Go Tigers, Mocs, and Vols!
