This program was created as an opportunity for the community to have an impact on our middle school children in Decatur City Schools.
We are currently seeking volunteers that are willing to serve as mentors during school hours.

Good morning and happy Tuesday! I want to thank Mrs Nancy Wheeler for participating in our Moms as Mentors and Dads on Duty program. Mrs Wheeler has connected with our students in the Middle Schools. I want to thank Mr Minton for his participation as a mentor for our Dads on Duty program. Here is a quote from Mr. Minton.

“Because of DOD I have a greater appreciation of what administrators and teachers face on a daily basis. Even with all that is required of them, I see teachers that really care about their students. I also see the challenges facing many of the students. What I’d like to accomplish through the DOD is being able to communicate with teachers and students that members of our community care about and support them.
