Mrs. Bush’s second graders are exploring habitat diversity in their Animal Adventures science unit. Students investigated the mystery of why wild bighorn sheep might leave their usual desert habitat to visit a very different place—a local playground!

Through a Habitat Scavenger Hunt, students observed and compared the living and non-living features of each habitat. They then used their observations to discover how different parts of a habitat work together to support the animals that live there.

🍬🎃 CANDY DRIVE! 🎃🍬

Help us fill our classrooms with candy for Trunk or Treat! 👻

Each class will be collecting candy through Friday, October 24th. The class that collects the most candy by weight will celebrate with a PANCAKE BREAKFAST! 🥞🎉

🍎 Trunk or Treat Apples: Bagged apples may also be sent in during the week of October 19th. To keep them fresh, please only send in bagged apples during that week.

Thank you for helping make Trunk or Treat a sweet success! 🍬🧡

🍬🎃 ¡COLECTA DE DULCES! 🎃🍬

¡Ayúdenos a llenar nuestras aulas de dulces para nuestro Trunk or Treat! 👻

Our first graders kicked off the fall season last week with some hands-on learning and a tasty treat! Students learned about the different parts of an apple, read all about Johnny Appleseed, and worked together to make their very own applesauce! 🍏🥄

What a fun way to celebrate the season while learning together!

Our 3rd grade students had a blast picking up the jump ropes and showing off some amazing teamwork, sharing, and friendship skills! It was great to see students encouraging one another, taking turns, and having fun together.

Ms. McKee has worked hard to create a classroom environment with a strong sense of community and belonging, and moments like these are a great example of that in action!

Even Mr. Neyer joined in on the fun and put his jump-roping skills to the test!

Mrs. Hernandez’s class has been hard at work exploring Work Places in our updated Bridges Math curriculum!

Work Places give students the opportunity to practice important math skills through engaging, hands-on activities while building problem-solving skills, independence, and mathematical thinking.

Mrs. Messner’s 4th grade students got hands-on with their learning as they explored weight and mass through a new lesson in our updated edition of Bridges Math!

It was great to see students learning through exploration, discussion, and real-world experiences. One student even told me, “I can see why you were so excited for this!”

Mrs. Urias’ second graders have been working hard over the past few weeks to build their work stamina. Last week, they reached their goal of 20 minutes of focused work time—staying on task and working at a Level 0 the entire time! 👏

To celebrate, the classroom turned into a campout! Students used flashlights while working on different activities, reading books, and even telling a few scary stories. 👻📚

They also enjoyed a special camping-themed snack and a visit to the Pride Room. Keep up the great work!
