🎉🐴Meet REBEL🐴🎉
Rebel is a 12‑year‑old Mustang/Quarter Horse mix who recently came into training for a refresher and fine tuning. This program is focused on reinforcing correct basics while rebuilding confidence and softness through consistent, fair work.
Rebel can be a bit stubborn, but that has proven to be more about clarity and trust than resistance. He’s learning that slow, correct work is okay and that he doesn’t need to brace or rush through the process.
He is also a more sensitive horse, so his training requires a thoughtful approach—listening to what he’s telling us and adjusting pressure and expectations accordingly.
It’s slightly evident Rebel has probably experienced some rough handling in the past, but he is a solid, honest horse who was given a good foundation at some point. As we work through the program, we’ve discovered buttons and understanding that show just how capable he really is. When things are consistent and fair, Rebel genuinely wants to do the right thing.
Rebel is the type of horse that requires trust to be earned—but once that trust starts to build, he aims to please and works hard for his rider. With continued correct training and confidence-building, I believe he’s going to be a dependable, jam‑up partner.
I’m very excited for my client, Xandra Limes, and the future ahead with Rebel. The goal is a confident, reliable trail and all‑around partner, and it’s clear these two already share a strong bond. I’m looking forward to helping set them up to enjoy many miles and experiences together.

Such a fun trail ride with two lovely Julies and our Lilly— but seriously, what are the odds of having two Julies on one ride?! 😂🐎
The four of us had an awesome time out on the trail. One of our Julies was riding out for the very first time and absolutely rocked it—handled everything like a champ!
All the ladies did a fantastic job, rode great, and made the whole ride such a blast.
As always, we practiced good trail etiquette (because it matters!), and we’re already looking forward to the next time we all get to ride together. ✨🤍 Julie Fanelli Lilly Emmet Julie Stewart

🎉Big shoutout to my two lesson students, Jon and John 🤘😝🎉
These guys are total rock stars and have been doing awesome in the saddle!
We all went out for a really nice trail ride, and both handled it like pros. Jon is a little ahead right now, but John is catching on fast and learned some really solid trail etiquette—especially how to ride safely off the property.
I honestly feel like trail safety doesn’t always get stressed enough, and it’s so important. No matter how great our horses are, you never know what you might run into out on the trail. Super proud of both of them and the progress they’re making! 🐎✨

Jake Jaeger had their second lesson today, and the improvement was huge already!
We’ve been working on developing a stronger seat and really focusing on keeping those heels down—and it’s paying off. Today we were able to feel the difference between sitting upright and deep in the saddle versus allowing weight to shift forward. When we sit tall and balanced, everything comes together; when the weight tips forward, balance is lost and those heels become much harder to maintain. Such an important and exciting realization!
We also worked on a balance and coordination drill, and Jake absolutely rocked it. To top off the lesson, we finished with a walk-and-trot exercise so Jake could feel the trot for the first time—and loved every second of it! Seeing that confidence and excitement was incredible.
One of the most special moments today was watching JW and Jake truly connect and begin to move as one. Witnessing that bond form is something truly magical. The connection you can build with these horses is genuinely life-changing, and today was a beautiful reminder of that. I’m beyond happy with how this lesson went!
Stick around for our video clip from today!!! 🎉💪🏼

🎉Welcome to the program, Jake!🎉
Jake has just started lessons with us, and the drive to learn is already shining through. From day one, Jake has wanted to let the reins loose, get out there, and truly learn—and that kind of enthusiasm is something special.
There’s a lot of confidence in the saddle already, with nice low hands, solid posture, and a constant flow of thoughtful questions. Jake wants to know everything, and that curiosity and hunger for knowledge make teaching so rewarding. Students like this truly make my job more fun—you can see the passion and determination in their eyes.
With time, I truly believe Jake could become one heck of a cowboy. The love for horses and the drive to gain as much knowledge as possible are the foundations of great horsemanship, and I’m excited to see where this journey leads.
That wildfire passion reminds me so much of what I had when I first started riding horses as a little girl—so I’ve got a really good feeling Jake is going to go far! Jake Jaeger

✨ Welcome Back to the Saddle! ✨
I’m so happy to welcome Mr. Jon back to lessons after taking some time away for personal reasons. Getting back in the saddle can be a big step, and it has been amazing to see just how much knowledge and skill was retained.
Mr. Jon jumped right back in like no time was missed at all, and it truly shows that all the hard work we’ve put in together is paying off. Watching that confidence and foundation come through has made me incredibly proud.
I’m beyond happy to have Mr. Jon back and continuing this journey with me, and I can’t wait to see how much further we go from here. Great things ahead! 🐴✨

✨ New Student Spotlight ✨
I’m excited to welcome John, who has just started a lesson journey with me—and is already off to a great start!
We’re beginning with the basics and keeping things simple and sweet: learning our hand and foot cues, how to properly brush our horses before tacking up, and understanding what each piece of tack is called and how to use it correctly.
Even though this is just the beginning, John is catching on very quickly, and I’m truly impressed with the focus and enthusiasm already being shown. Starting with strong fundamentals is so important, and this is an excellent foundation to build on as we continue moving forward.
I can’t wait to see how this journey unfolds—great things ahead! 🐴✨

Yesterday was one of those moments I’ll carry with me forever.
For the first time, I sat on Halona’s back—at just two and a half years old—and it meant so much more than simply climbing on. I’ve known Halona since the very first day of life, when she was still a wet foal finding footing in the world. From those early moments, through the first halter, the first time learning to lead, learning to lunge, and every piece of groundwork in between, every step has been a journey we’ve taken together.
Each lesson was built on trust, patience, and understanding—hers and mine. Watching Halona grow, learn, and meet each new challenge with curiosity has been one of my greatest joys. Reaching the moment where I could finally sit on her back wasn’t just a training milestone—it was the result of years of quiet work, consistency, and a bond that’s been growing since day one.
I’m incredibly proud of Halona, and I’m just as proud of the journey we’ve shared to get here.
This moment wasn’t rushed, and it wasn’t taken lightly. It was earned—together. And it’s only the beginning of what I know will be a very special future for us both.
