Delta Upsilon at Northern Illinois University

Hello all,

Going through my Facebook I realized no one had ever made an official post on this page...

A few years ago it was quickly becoming apparent that Greek Life at Northern Illinois University was undergoing massive changes; changes that would not be conducive for our fraternity to function well any longer. For those who were around at the time, the writing was on the wall. These changes would eventually lead to the unfortunate closing of our chapter at NIU.

With that said, re-chartering at NIU is still a possibility in the future. A current student will have to work with Delta Upsilon International Headquarters as well as NIU's Office of Fraternity and Sorority Life; I will post contact information below.

I'd like to thank everyone for the opportunities I had through Delta Upsilon, from rushing in 2013 all the way up to becoming an alumni advisor after graduation. They were some of the best times and memories of my life.

Today marks the 10th anniversary of the worst tragedy NIU has endured. Five students lost their lives in pursuit of a higher education, and many more were injured. Countless more were left traumatized by the day's events. Though we may carry those memories and emotions of that day in our own way, we will forever move Forward, Together Forward.

Starting soon! As part of our Spring 2018 Rush Week, the Brothers are hosting a video game night at the chapter house! Classics like Super Smash Bros, League of Legends, and modern titles like Rocket League, Call of Duty, and many more are going to be there!

Last night the Brothers and some Associate Members took a trip to the east side of Sycamore to check out the Forge Brewhouse. Excellent pizza, great local brews, and all around a 10/10 experience. Special thanks goes to our server, Tegan, for amazing customer service and putting up with our big order!

Our other graduate this semester is Reynard Tirao. He graduated Northern Illinois University with a bachelors degree in mechanical engineering! We will miss fun times and warm personality you bring to the chapter, but wish you luck on your journey into engineering. Congratulations Rey!

Congratulations to Shaheer Siddiqi for graduating from Northern Illinois University as an electrical engineer. Although it is hard to see you leave us, we thank you for being an outstanding brother and wish you luck on your years as an engineer. Dikaia Upotheke

Congratulations to the newly-initiated Π Class of Delta Upsilon at Northern Illinois University!

We welcomed four new brothers into our Brotherhood yesterday and followed initiation with our traditional China House Buffet luncheon.

Last night a number of Brothers went to Northern Illinois Delta Gamma's Desserts for DG - an event to raise money for Service for Sight, Delta Gamma's philanthropy for seeing-eye dogs for the visually impaired. (All of the desserts were delicious!)

Today, some of the Sisters stopped by the DU house to drop off a thank you note and pumpkin bars, which were delicious as well! Thank you, Delta Gamma!!
