Family conflicts can be among the most challenging and frustrating to deal with, in part, because the stakes are so high.
This is a good article that talks about some typical family challenges, and I encourage reading it. Hopefully it will help you gain some clarity on your own situation so you can make decisions about what you want to do and where you want to go from here.
If you need help with that, however, please reach out about setting up an initial (free) consultation to see if conflict coaching (for you or another person in your family) or mediation for your whole family might be beneficial.
Mediation isn’t necessarily helpful in all situations, but it might be for yours. Shoot me a message and let’s talk about it!

Fun fact: Arch Magee wrote the initial US State Department grant for the very first Four Cities Young Leader Academy through the US State Department back in 2018! The program continues to be operated through the Dayton Mediation Center, where Arch used to work, and in partnership with the Dayton Sister City Committee, which Arch used to chair. It’s great to see so many young people and educators coming from 🇧🇦 to Dayton!
Thank you to the Dayton Mediation Center for bringing the Bosnian Youth Leadership Program to the Springfield Museum of Art! On November 1, we welcomed 18 students and 3 teachers from Bosnia and Herzegovina, who spent a memorable day exploring our galleries, engaging in studio art, and discussing conflict resolution.
We are grateful to the Mediation Center for organizing this enriching experience and joining us for the day. Seeing the students’ excitement and curiosity as they connected art was inspiring. Your commitment to fostering peace and understanding through youth programs makes a positive impact both locally and globally. Thank you!
