What was your favorite subject in school? Which subject gave you the most trouble?

One year ago.

One year ago today we got word of one case of covid-19 within the community of South Brunswick. One year ago today we cleaned and disinfected our classrooms, materials, nap mats, toys, shelves, etc. in hopes to be back in a couple days. One year ago today I closed the doors and said bye to all my teachers: “I’ll keep you posted, I think we will be back in a day or two, Worst case scenario I’ll see you all Monday morning!” One year ago today was the LAST day ALL the teachers at Montessori children’s house were all together teaching, smiling, and caring for our students. This year has been more than a struggle. It’s been a fight. A “to the death” battle of who will win. a global pandemic? or the strength, heart, mind, body, soul, blood, sweat and tears of pure adversity staring back at it? There was no option of being defeated. It was a mind set to just keep going, to do what we had to do to stay alive. Now don’t be fooled, just because it’s a year later doesn’t mean the battle is over because the battle is not over. there are still many obstacles in the way, but I choose to keep going. Enrollment is still at a record breaking low. But we will thrive again!!
