Sometimes we work and sometimes we play! We had a great week leading up to break. We bowled, decorated cookies, played games, and learned some new dances!! Merry Christmas and Happy New Year from Project Life!

We had another amazing time with Dan from Mission of Mary this week. He taught us how to make a raised garden bed out of a pallet. Pallets are an easy resource to find, often for free, and the possibilities of what you can do with them is endless! Stayed tuned for what what we build next!

Stay warm everyone!

The district is closed tomorrow, Monday, December 15th, due to poor weather conditions. This is due to the anticipated single-digit temperatures with wind chill below zero, along with uncleared side streets that will make it unsafe for students and buses.

This means all schools and district buildings are closed. No students are to report. Those employees identified as essential personnel should report at their regular start time or as soon as safety allows.

All extracurricular school activities and field trips are canceled. More information will be communicated soon regarding whether athletic events will still take place.

Please be safe!

Sometimes there is more to a task then it seems. You may see the interns cleaning, but they are also working on paying attention to details such as how many chairs belong at a table and putting items back in the correct spots.

Yesterday was worms and today was bees!! Our friend from the OSU Extension came and helped us build houses for bees. We plan to put them near our gardens in the Spring.

Did you know that gardens are the gifts that keep on giving? We seeded sunflowers and marigolds today and these are just a portion of what we have in our garden!

This week at Wegerzyn Gardens MetroPark we switched gears a little bit and got crafty. We painted “tree cookies” (slices of fallen tree trunks) that will be placed all around the gardens. We are a pretty creative group!! 🎨🎨
