Yesterday marked the last day of a historic in Washington, D.C., as Head Start parents and caregivers from 48 states, plus D.C., Puerto Rico, and American Indian/Alaska Native and agricultural farmworker communities came together as one to push for support and funding for Head Start.

🚀 The energy was through the roof! Families connected with each other and shared powerful stories with their members of Congress, bringing their Head Start experiences directly into the conversations shaping its future. Many expressed how meaningful it was to be part of something bigger, to be heard, and to stand alongside others who understand the impact of this program.

💪 As they head home, many parents are leaving not just inspired, but committed to growing this work, speaking up in their local communities, joining Head Start councils and parent organizations, and building a bigger network of parents and caregivers who advocate for their children and families in new ways.

Four years ago today, Mrs. Ruth began her journey with us as a preschool assistant teacher. Since then, she has completed her CDA, grown into the role of Lead Preschool Teacher, and earned a well-deserved promotion to become part of our administrative team. Throughout her time with us, Mrs. Ruth has consistently proven herself to be reliable, teachable, and, above all, truly dedicated.
