“Three of the most common themes about abusers presented by victims of dating abuse:
1. They noticed a Dr. Jekyll & Mr. (Ms.) Hyde Personality... The public and acquaintances know 1 version. The victim knows the other.
2. Their abuse was minimized... “That didn’t happen.” “It wasn’t that bad.”
3. Abuser never took blame or responsibility for any of their actions or faults which led to relationship problems— They constantly blamed the victim and was manipulative enough to get outsiders to believe them and not the victim.”
