Interfaith Harmony Week is here!

Photos from Interfaith Campus Council at UCD's post 02/01/2021

Celebrate Interfaith Harmony Week with a bit of mindfulness in the midst of this busy season.

Follow the guide below for a guided contemplative walk. For those of you residing in Davis, we recommend doing this at the UC Davis Arboretum, but any neighborhood will do!

To use the guide, take each step one at a time. Find a new location between each station, then read and follow the reflection prompt. In all, the guided walk will probably take about 30-45 minutes, but feel free to take it at your own pace.

If you have any questions, reach out to Pastor Sara at CA House at [email protected].

Please read our statement about the troubling events at the Capitol Building last week.

We will never give in to violence and coercion.

Friends in faith,

During the first hours of our event this morning, racist comments and specific threats of violence were made against our panelists. In order to protect our students and other participants—especially our Black and otherwise marginalized panelists—we have decided to postpone this event until we can take further security steps surrounding Zoom and Facebook Live.

We are saddened that there are members of our community who would undermine our work, but it reminds us how necessary our continued antiracist solidarity is.

You can still take time out of your day today to reflect on your role in this movement, and pray for an end to racist violence—of thought, word, and deed.

In Peace,
The Interfaith Campus Council
