When after teaching four kids gardening classes in one day you also have to teach a cooking class, it helps when that class is one you could teach with your eyes closed. Even better when the group of people you are teaching are as fun and creative as these folks.

Tonight the kiddo made us a fancy dessert.
My mother in law brought over some grapes from her vine, so littlest Doylie tossed them with cinnamon (a very tasty thing we had never thought to do before). Then carefully chopped fruit and carrots, made some mixed juice drinks and finished with some chocolate pretzels.
We are so fancy.

Tonight's bedtime snack: warm banana with cinnamon. Just microwave for 45 minutes, sprinkle on the cinnamon and enjoy.
100% kid approved.

Shout out to for my perfect lunch. This has been my go to dal recipe for the last couple years and I usually have some in my freezer. Today I didn't, but I did have the onion masala, so I got everything in the instant pot and with less than 10 minutes of active cooking, got exactly what I was craving.

When mommy takes your blueberry bagel birthday request as an excuse to recipe test, sometimes they just don't turn out quite right. I forgot to pick up dried blueberries and simply couldn't develop the gluten enough with the wet fresh blueberries.
Luckily the birthday girl happily chowed down. She has eaten enough of my tests to know looks aren't everything.
