Originally started in 2012 through a collaboration between actress Julie Andrews, Disney, and Target, National Princess Week was created to celebrate imagination, kindness, and inner strength. Julie Andrews believed there’s a princess in all of us and that being a princess is about confidence, compassion, and knowing your worth.
At Davidson, Femme’s Empowerment Network (yes, the same group behind the annual Katherine M. Bray Women’s Leadership Conference 🎉) is reimagining Princess Week as a celebration of self-care, confidence, and community. Through creative and empowering activities, we’re honoring what it truly means to be a princess: someone who leads with grace, shows up for herself and others, and defines her crown on her own terms.
