Monday, 9/14 & Tuesday, 9/15, 8th grade Social Studies students wrapped up their Crash Course of 7th grade material with a fun day in the Library. Students visited each civilization we learned about over the last 4 weeks and completed a different activity for each one after filling out a question in their passport. Even one of our SROs completed a passport!

SROs became English 8 students today and tested their knowledge (or memory) of poetry devices, fragments and clauses, shifts in verb tense and tone!

Mrs. Groet's students put it to the test while learning about states of matter, then used CER (Claim, Evidence, Reasoning) to make their case for what they thought oobleck actually was.

Two days away! See you Tuesday night!

We invite our WJC families to join us for Open House on Tuesday, September 15 at 5:30 PM at Daphne Middle School.

Open House begins at 5:30 PM
Doors open at 5:15 PM

We will begin together in the gym.

After our opening in the gym, families will have the opportunity to visit classrooms, meet teachers, and get a glimpse of what learning looks like at WJC!

We know our current situation is a little unique as we continue to wait for our new building. Once we officially move into W. J. Carroll Middle School, we will host a second Open House so our families can visit and experience our new school. We’ll share that date as soon as we know more.

We look forward to seeing our Trojan families on September 15!

Rain or shine, these students came to school every day in the month of August! They were awarded for IMPECCABLE ATTENDANCE with ice cream today.

But don't forget, each Monday, students with perfect attendance from the week before are randomly selected to win a prize during lunch! See you tomorrow!
