Though I'm only at 50% client capacity, as of 5-31-2026, I'm closing new contracts for the Summer design season. I may still be able to place 1 or 2 new clients, but the show needs to be ready to go. I also have openings for visual instruction throughout the Fall, whether I design your show or not.

Did you know that I have 2 YouTube channels? Well, I do... But only 1 of them has "New" content. Be sure you're subscribed to the right one!
is the channel where I post new show animations. If you're not subscribed there, you're missing out on all of the more recent posts/content.
is the channel I use exclusively for unlisted or private content I show only to clients. If you're ONLY subscribed here, you do not receive notifications on new content.

Here is the complete 2010 Silver Creek show, "Bach for a New Millennium"
This is not the exact show that was given to the client. As I said in a previous video, my writing style and approaches have changed so I edited what I could to bring the animation more "Up to date" with my current design styles.
This year (2010) and this show was the beginning of a renaissance of sorts for my designs. From this point until 2016/2017 I developed a greater understanding of how I approached designing shows. And though there is probably a bit more "moving" in this show than I may write today, it's still a very good example of how I continue to write today.

It's very special to me when I'm able to work with or design for a past student of mine. This happens to be the 3rd time working with Alesha as she takes the helm of the newly reformed JV guard at Perry Meridian HS. Loved writing for them and hope to do it again soon!

I recently realized that I have continually worn the hoodie for this show since the day it was given to me some 15 years ago but I've never revisited or updated the animations to the show. So I've decided to fix that...
Here is Silver Creek's 2010 show opener, "Bach For A New Millennium"
In editing, I quickly realized that though the style of the transitions may be similar to how I write today, there are many differences in my approach to phrasings and holds. So I edited this version as much as I could (without doing a complete re-write) to make it more in tune with how I may have written it today.
Enjoy!

I still have 5 of 8 design slots available for the 2026 Fall marching season. I have the capacity for 8 total design clients for the Fall season, but need to carry a minimum of 6 just to keep D3 Visual Designs a viable design service.
Please spread the word that I have slots open and contact me soon if interested in my services so I can include you in my schedule!
http://www.d3visualdesigns.com
At this point, I only have 2 commitments for 2026. Due to time constraints, I have availability for up to 8 clients.
Please contact me soon so I know whether or not to include you in my schedule!

This is a copy of a post I made about 2 years ago. If you're a music person and may know someone who can give a 5 valve CC Tuba a good home, please pass the information below along to them.
(Due to a recent event, it's imperative that I sell it)
-------------------
Band, Tuba, and friends of Tuba players... I'm posting here first before I place it on the market but I'm selling my fairly new JZ 410 CC Tuba. It's a Chinese Clone of the Miraphone 186-5U CC.
It was purchased from Dillon Music exactly 2 (4 now) years ago as a demo model but it was in near perfect condition. The only issues I noticed when I received it was some discoloration around the rim of the bell, one hidden pin head sized blemish/chip in the lacquer and the typical ticking of the rotors. (Pictures, if interested)
I fixed the ticking by making undoable adjustments in the rotor rods (Pictures, if interested). The blemishes aren't that major and don't have an effect on the playing.
I've personally worked on the slides to make them just about as free as I'd want (though they could be honed a little more) and vented the first rotor to eliminate pressure/popping when manipulating the first slide during play. Replaced the rubber bumpers with cork (Perfectly quieted the rotors) and aligned the rotors via borescope to get the best air-flow.
It comes with the original foam case as well as a Miraphone 186 gig bag which it fits in perfectly. Came with a generic mouthpiece, which will be included but I also have 2 Robert Tucci mouthpieces (RT-36, RT-88) that are not included but I could add them at a negotiated price. I will throw in my remaining supply Monster Heavy, Monster Light, Monster Bearing oil, as well as the Monster Slide grease as a part of the deal.
Looking to get $2450 for both the JZ-410 and the Miraphone Gig Bag and other included items listed above. I'm also asking $75 for each RT Mouthpiece.
Prefer you be relatively local. I'm willing to drive up to 200 miles or so (from Danville, IL 61832) for you to have a play test but please be seriously interested.
The horn is awesome but I bought it thinking I could get back into playing after having not played for 24 years. I gave 2 years but the last year, I've maybe played it 4 or 5 weeks. I serviced all the slides and rotors in April but it had been sitting since then. I will service them again before you test play.
If you have any questions, just ask me here or in messenger. I will take pictures if I get some interest here or before I post in the Market Place Ads.
Thanks!
Dave
FYI -
I do not pre-design any shows.
All of my drill creations are custom designed for each individual ensemble with content specific to the given concept of each show and character of it's music.
I do not re-sale old designs.
The only exceptions have been because of special circumstances. In 2 of these cases, the show was reused by the ensemble for which the show was originally designed. In the 3 other cases, the reused show was requested by the ensemble directors, was more of a redesign, and only used some elements of the original design.
I prefer not to design to music or a concept about which I've already written.
It can sometimes be difficult to re-conceptualize something I've already done. Yes, there are some older show concepts I've done where I feel I could construct much more effectively today but show concepts, especially for a different group, belongs to the ensemble in that time. I much prefer to dig my creative teeth into something new and as original as possible.
