The highlight of my Labor Day weekend was, as a Journey to Justice member, being the recipient of a gift that touched my heart and reminded me why Journey to Justice is so important to me.
The gift I received was observing our Outreach Beneficiary Program in action.

As one of our robotic dogs was placed in the hands of a dear friend's loved one, living with dementia, my gift was the MOMENT that included:

The smile that spread across the face.
The sparkle in the eyes.
The laughter and look of contentment with each stroke of the fur.
The soft spoken conversation with the pup.
The sharing of memories from a previously owned pup.
And finally, the sense of pride in finding the perfect name for the new companion.

In my observation, this robotic pup became so much more than a gift that Journey to Justice was giving back, it was a MOMENT OF DIGNITY for someone living with dementia.

Each and every gift we give to a recipient in a Skilled Nursing Facility, Personal Care Facility, Assisted Living Facility, or those still living in the community, our message is:

We SEE you. 💜
You MATTER.💜
You deserve JOY.💜
Your LIFE and your STORY are still important and matter to us. 💜💜💜

💜💜This is how all monies we raise are utilized. This is our Outreach Beneficiary Program in action. So incredibly proud to be able to provide these materials and big thanks to your wonderful facility for embracing us and supporting our work. We thoroughly enjoyed providing our training to your staff previously and are honored to provide these helpful items. We look forward to a continued collaboration. 💜💪This happened yesterday! It's wonderful to get some other voices and perspectives talking about our mission! Thank you Matthew James and WPGM Radio Station for inviting us back to get caught up with all that's happened since my initial introduction of Journey to Justice interview with him a year ago.
