Today will be my last day… I am sure I will be by often to visit. I ask that you embrace Jessica while she makes this transition. It’s all about the children and she knows this. We know change is inevitable. I find peace knowing Jessica Hampton will give it her all. I have so much hope for Cradles to Crayons continued success. Thank you for supporting us for 30 yrs. Joy in Serving You!

30 years ago I started the biggest adventure of my life!!! I had a passion to make a difference. I found myself starting a program called Cradles to Crayons Llc. I wanted children to feel loved and have an opportunity to succeed in learning. I always knew I was going to be a housewife and a mother.  Being a businesswoman would’ve been the farthest thing from my mind.  I really struggled in school no matter how hard I prayed I just could not pay attention or understand the way others were able to learn while I struggled. Over the last 30 years God has shown me I am smart and I can make a difference.  Cradles To Crayons and the people I have worked with has been one of the best blessings of my life. I cannot thank them enough.

As of January 1 I will be passing the torch to Jessica Hampton of Immagination Station.  I have no doubt in my mind that she will do everything she can to offer the best early childhood program available.

I am looking forward to spending as much time with my mother as possible and showering my grandchildren with all the love I can.

🚔SUSPICIOUS VEHICLE UPDATE🚔
—CLEAR CREEK SUBDIVISION—

On Sunday afternoon, we received reports of a suspicious van within the Clear Creek Subdivision on the west side of Danville. Since that time, there have been multiple posts on social media pages regarding the van and it’s occupants, along with various accounts of what residents believed they were doing. In general, the neighborhood was concerned with this vehicle and why it was there.

Our Investigations Division immediately began follow up on the information, and after identifying the vehicle, they were able to interview the male driver, and confirmed why the vehicle was there.

After a complete and thorough investigation, we can assure the community that without question the van and it’s occupants had no illicit intent and they had a legitimate reason to be in the neighborhood. We do however agree that the videos of the vehicle driving slowly, or parked on the side of the roadway with the occupants inside near kids playing appears concerning.

We take these reports extremely seriously and encourage our community to remain vigilant and to report ANY and ALL suspicious activity to our agency so we can investigate. Stay safe, and have a great day.
