Good evening, Microbot Families!

Progress reports and i-Ready reports went home today. Please take time to review these reports with your child, celebrate their progress, and identify areas for growth.

Monday: We will begin Bus Safety lessons during specials. Please remind your child to follow all bus rules and expectations.

Tuesday – International Dot Day: Students are encouraged to wear dots as we celebrate creativity and making our mark!

Wednesday – Parent Conference Day: There will be NO SCHOOL for students. Please reach out to your child’s teacher to schedule a conference. We look forward to connecting with our families and discussing your child’s progress.

🎉 Attendance Matters at Activ8! 🎉

In honor of Attendance Awareness Month, Activ8 was recognized at Thursday night’s School Board meeting for our outstanding attendance last school year! 🏆🚀

A huge shoutout to Ms. Sherry and the Attendance Team for working hard all year to keep attendance accurate and our Microbots in school!

Remember, every day counts! If your child is absent, please email or Dojo the teacher a parent or medical note as soon as possible.

We have had another great week at Activ8! As we head into the long weekend, here are a few important reminders:

There will be no school on Monday in observance of Labor Day. We hope everyone enjoys a safe and restful long weekend!

Wear Yellow – Thursday, September 10
On Thursday, September 10, we encourage everyone to wear yellow in recognition of Su***de Prevention Awareness Month.

Progress Reports
Progress reports will go home on Friday, September 11. Please take time to review your child’s academic progress.

Free School Lunch Reminder
All students receive free lunch at school. Even if your child brings a lunch or snack from home, they are still welcome to receive a school lunch as well.

Parent-Teacher Conferences – September 16
Please reach out to your child’s teacher to schedule a conference time for September 16. This is a great opportunity to discuss your child’s progress and how we can continue working together to support their success.

Good evening, Microbot Families!

What a great week we have had at Activ8! As we prepare for another exciting week, we have a few important updates and opportunities for our families.

Students will bring home a Parents’ Right to Know letter on Monday. We have also attached a copy to this email for your convenience. The letter explains important information about your rights as a family attending a Title I school.

We hope you will join us on Thursday, September 3 at 9:00 a.m. for Parents as Learning Partners, with our Second Cup of Coffee immediately following. During your visit, you will get to experience one of our House Meetings with students! Don’t forget to wear your child’s House colors and join in the House spirit! ❤️💙💚🖤

Our family engagement continues that evening with our Parker Road Community Clean-Up at 5:30 p.m. Activ8 has proudly adopted Parker Road, and we are committed to doing our part to keep it clean. Please meet us at the Family Eye Center building a few minutes before 5:30 p.m. so we can divide into groups and tackle the road together. This is a great opportunity for our students, staff, and families to serve our community together.

STEM Learning Beyond the Classroom! 🔬🏎️

Last Friday, our 7th-grade Microbots had an incredible opportunity to take their STEM learning on the road!

Students began their day at Averett University, participating in engaging, hands-on STEM activities in collaboration with General Motors. They then traveled to VIRginia International Raceway for even more STEM exploration and the exciting IMSA race experience! 🏁

Experiences like these allow our students to see how science, technology, engineering, and mathematics come to life in the real world while exposing them to future college and career possibilities.

We are incredibly thankful for our community partners who continue to invest in our students and provide meaningful opportunities that extend learning beyond the walls of the classroom.
