For Teacher Appreciation Week

Looking ahead, the school year will be over before we know it! Here are some important dates to keep in mind.
On Thursday, May 18th, Kindergarten is putting on the Ascension Mass for the whole school. I don't have a time yet but I am going to guess the start time is either 9am or 9:45am. I will let you know as soon as I do. The kindergarten class will be in charge of some of the readings, music and a little skit to show what happened at the Ascension. Parents are welcome and encouraged to come!

Monday, June 5th, will be our field day with the Pre K classes. I have a former parent, current 1st grade parent, who has volunteered to take the lead on this. Parents are more than welcome to volunteer on this day! I know she has already reached out to some.

Wednesday, June 7th will be our kindergarten graduation. It will be at 10am in the gym. Parents, grandparents, siblings....everyone is welcome to attend. I will just need an estimate as the day gets closer to be able to know how many chairs to set up in the gym. After graduation will be a little reception with cake and cookies. June 7th is the last day of Kindergarten. After graduation you can take them home and keep them until next school year!

Prime Time Reading is coming up next Thursday, April 27th at 6pm in the gym. I encourage everyone to attend if you are able. In the past it has been a great night of family, friends and reading!

I was thinking of a great idea for the teachers! I know that the Wine Tasting doesn't fall on the Teacher Appreciation Week (April 29th) But, it would be a memorable gift for the teachers and start the week off right! I know Mrs. Barrette and Mrs. Lewis requested that they would like to go to the wine tasting at the beginning of the year. Would anyone want to Venmo me $10/$20 for tickets or send in money with Aidan Lepore's Mom in an envelope. This would be for Mrs. Barrett and her Husband and Mrs. Lewis and her Husband to go to the wine tasting? I know this class is very generous to our teachers. If we have any extra money I can also pick up some bouquets from a local flower shop. My Venmo is -Lepore If we could get the money in by Friday, that is when the tickets are due into the school. Please reach out with any questions.

*** Tickets are $75 each and come with dinner, wine glass painting (Trunk City Revival) and lots of wine, beer and other alcoholic beverages. I know lots of tickets are still available if anyone also want to go its a fun night out and Emma's Mom, Jess is also one of the chairs.

All items will be delivered Tuesday morning. The gifts will be put together in a basket, gift bag, etc. We will place them outside the classroom in the hallway. Melissa Kapatulik (Anastasias Mom) be in touch with more details as they come in on how and when to send them in.

Hi everyone - Hope you all had a great week off. The SJS Parent group just sent out a message about Teacher appreciation week, which is May 1st - 5th. They decided we will do a teacher Wish Day on Tuesday, May 2nd, that they would like room parents to coordinate. For Kindergarten, here are the wishes:

For the classroom: new electric pencil sharpener, stapler, roll of clear contact paper, and 25 individual pencil sharpeners

Mrs. Barrette: Fav Colors: pink, teal, purple, blue
Fav sport team: Any NE team
Fav Flower: Ge**er Daisy

Mrs. Lewis: Fav Color: Purple
Fav sports team: Red Sox or Celtics
Fav Flower: ALL of them!
