🌤️ Sunshine + Smiles = The Best Classroom! 🌿✏️

With the weather warming up, we are taking our learning outside! Our preschoolers and toddlers are soaking up the sunshine while practicing important skills like pencil grip and sight words in a fun, hands-on environment.

There’s something magical about fresh air that helps little minds focus and little hands grow stronger. Whether we’re tracing letters with chalk, writing at outdoor tables, or spotting sight words during nature walks, learning feels like play when it’s outside!

We love bringing the classroom outdoors — and bringing the outdoors into our classroom. ☀️🌱

🌿✨ PDD Day: Exploring — Inside & Out! ✨🌿

Today our preschool teachers spent Professional Development Day doing a deep dive bring Inside Out and Outside In.

We brought the classroom outside 🌳☀️
Teachers explored ways to use outdoor spaces for emotional regulation, cooperative play, and hands-on learning.

And then we brought the outside into the classroom 🍃🪵
We brainstormed creative ways to incorporate natural materials, sensory experiences, and calming environments indoors to support self-awareness and problem-solving.

When teachers grow, children grow. 💚
We’re excited to continue creating spaces where emotions are understood, respected, and supported — from the inside out.

Safety first at Cadence!

This morning we completed a scheduled evacuation drill as part of our regular safety procedures. Practicing these drills helps staff stay prepared and gives children the confidence to respond calmly if a real emergency ever occurs.

Our students did wonderfully — walking safely, listening carefully, and staying together as a group. We’re grateful for such cooperative kiddos and a team that takes preparedness seriously.

Families at Cadence Academy Preachool, we’re happy to share that our school is participating in the Texas Education Freedom Accounts (TEFA) program.
This program is designed to give Texas families greater flexibility and access to educational opportunities that best meet their child’s needs.

Weather Closure Update

After completing our morning assessment, we have made the decision to remain closed today due to icy road and parking lot conditions. Snow that melted yesterday refroze overnight, and temperatures are not expected to rise above freezing until later this morning.
The safety of our children, families, and staff is always our top priority.

Dear Families,

At this time, we are tentatively planning to open tomorrow, January 28th at 10:00 AM.

However, we will reassess road and weather conditions at 8:00 AM to ensure it is safe for both families and staff to travel. If conditions change, we will notify you immediately with an updated decision.
