We're back, y'all!! After a bit of time off (due to a new baby and restaurant joining Marianna's family), we're joining forces once again and up to more Earth stuff!
We're starting a gardening series at Gina's home and will be covering lots of fun topics over the next few months such as planting for pollinators, how to care for your indoor plants, what plants thrive in our extreme weather conditions here in North Texas, and more!
If you're in the Dallas area, we hope you can join us for our first class on preparing your garden for the spring growing season on February 21st!

Love spending time in my garden and look what was waiting for me this morning 😊 I’ll eat most of my artichokes but I’ll let a few bloom and dry out and then will use them for a show-stopping addition to a floral arrangement 💐

I’ve noticed that winter can be a bit tough for me, and I think a huge part of it is due to less time outside. My garden doesn’t need fussing over and 35 degrees is just too cold for this girl to go on a walk! The sun was out today, and even though it’s still in the 30s, I bundled up and went outside, and I’m so glad I did! I got to admire some trees, Whiskey got to smell ALL the smells, it seems like everyone who walked past me said “good morning,” and life is just brighter! 😁🌞 Even after consciously acknowledging that daily time in nature is necessary for me, it still never ceases to amaze me what 30 mins outside can do! 🌳🐕

In our house, Christmas season means EGG NOG season! 🤩🥛 We make a huge batch from scratch closer to Christmas, but for the rest of the month, we sip on store-bought egg nog.
Our latest purchase was not only scrumptious, but it also ticked all of my happy boxes! It’s locally sourced, organic, comes in a glass bottle that can be RETURNED to the store AND you get $2 off your next bottle. Loving the old-school milkman vibes 👏🏻
All jokes aside, thank you and for giving me the option of spending my dollars in a way that is in line with my values!
These daily choices may seem small, but they add up y’all! Plus, finding little eco gems like this just makes my day! 🌟😁

This photo pretty much sums up how I felt last week while on expedition with !
Some of you know that I’ve been consulting for Archangel Ancient Tree Archive for almost a year now, and it feels amazing to be part of work that is helping restore old-growth forests that were burned in the recent fires and will hopefully continue to have a positive impact for thousands of years to come!
Join us on Nov 10th for a virtual expedition and a behind the scenes of our upcoming restoration projects. You can be part of this work too! Visit ’s website to register and DM me if you have any questions.
Sometimes I catch myself thinking that I have the best job ever!! 🤩🌳😁💚

It’s experiences like this that remind me that even in the face of incredible devastation, there’s always something we can do! On expedition with this week to restore areas near the that were wiped out by the 2020 Castle Fire. Trees that were thousands of years old are now gone, but we’re bringing back hundreds of their babies that propagated to reintroduce their genetics. Lots of planting yesterday and today, and it’s definitely feeding my soul! Old growth forest restoration, here we come!!

I've wanted to hike to the top of Enchanted Rock in the Texas Hill Country for years, and I finally reached that goal! I probably should have chosen a cooler day instead of a hot and steamy, summer Texas afternoon (this picture was taken a couple of months ago), but I was there and I was thrilled to have the opportunity to see my home State with a new altitude perspective.
When I started off I wasn't sure I would be able to make it to the top, but I decided I would take it one minute at a time and if I needed to turn back, I could easily do that. I had my hat, sunscreen and plenty of water in my backpack and off I went.
It ended up not being as difficult as I had thought and when I got to the top, the view was green and beautiful with the rolling hills of Central Texas.
Once again my soul was filled by my time spent outside in nature enjoying the plants, birds, rocks and even the snakes.
