United Nations Secretary-General António Guterres has launched the new UN Global Principles on Information Integrity.

“Threats to information integrity are not new, but they are proliferating and expanding with unprecedented speed on digital platforms, supercharged by AI technologies,” said the Secretary-General, launching the Global Principles.

Technological advances have revolutionized communications, connecting people on a previously unthinkable scale. Yet they have also enabled the spread of misinformation, disinformation and hate speech at an unprecedented volume, velocity and virality.

“False narratives, distortions and lies breed cynicism, disbelief and disengagement,” warned the Secretary-General, adding: “Opaque algorithms push people into information bubbles and reinforce prejudices including racism, misogyny and discrimination of all kinds.”

Developed in consultation with UN member countries, youth leaders, academia, civil society, the private sector, including tech companies and the media, the Global Principles seek to promote a humane information ecosystem based on five key pillars:

During the press conference to announce that NOKIA is being acquired by Microsoft, President and CEO of Nokia, Stephen Elop ended his speech saying this:
“We didn’t do anything wrong, but somehow, we lost”.
Upon saying that, all his management team, himself included, shed sad tears.
Nokia had been a respectable company. They didn’t do anything wrong in their business, however, the world changed too fast. Their opponents were too powerful.
They missed out on learning, they missed out on changing, and thus they lost the opportunity at hand to make it big.
Not only did they miss the opportunity to earn big money, they lost their chance of survival.
The message of this story is, if you don’t change, you shall be removed from the competition.
It’s not wrong if you don’t want to learn new things. However, if your thoughts and mindset cannot catch up with time, you will be eliminated.
Complacency and "I know it all" attitude (even as industry leader) is a big enemy in business and life.
The advantage you have yesterday, will be replaced by the trends of tomorrow.
You don’t have to do anything wrong, as long as your competitors catch the wave and do it RIGHT, you can lose out and fail.
To change and improve yourself is giving yourself a second chance. To be forced by others to change, is like being discarded.
Those who refuse to learn & improve, will definitely soon become redundant & not relevant to the industry, in this fast moving economy. They will learn the lesson in a hard & expensive way!

10 pin salary is only K62 per hour

If you work for 8 hrs a day , it means you work 40 hrs in a week , then 160 hrs a month . That 10,000 salary you get divided by 160 hrs is K62 per hour . If someone who washes cars for K20 just decided to be really serious and wash 4 cars per hour with a bucket . He would make just as much as someone working in an office .

Why am I telling you this ? For two reasons , One is that you deserve more money if you break it down to the hourly basis . I know most of you don’t even get 10 pin , you get 5000 net in your k**a suit . convert that to hourly pay , then convert that pay to dollars you will come to $1.8 per hour now google the lowest hourly wage in the world . Not America but the world . That is the same as working for a Big Bite 2 per hour . I am just saying that employment doesnt offer a substantial difference from doing your own business , you can easily make your salary .

Its just food for thought Now also this is to also show you that you can manage to also do something else rather than just work . You can wash 4 cars in an hour at K20 at make K12800 per month . I am just say that if you look at it from an hourly rate or daily rate . you could easily see alternatives to employment . I am not saying quit your job am saying think about it .
