We’re celebrating two of the very best right here at Lake Highlands Middle School — Julie Horn and Turkessa Trent!

These two go above and beyond every single day to support our teachers, bring learning to life for our students, and jump in wherever they’re needed. We’re so grateful for your dedication, energy, and heart for our Wildcats!

💚🐾 Last night, and for the remainder of the season, our Lake Highlands football players will wear a green paw print on the back of their helmets to honor the life of Wynne Naylor.

As many of you know, Wynne tragically lost her life in the South Texas floods this summer. Yesterday would have been her 9th birthday. Our Wildcats took the field in her memory—playing in her honor and carrying forward the love, strength, and sense of community she inspired.

Once a Wildcat, always a Wildcat. 💚🐾

In keeping with our Kindness Theme, today we celebrated some truly amazing Wildcats!

Earlier this week, staff members were asked to nominate students they witnessed completing kind acts. Each nominee received a certificate recognizing their act of kindness, along with the name of the staff member who nominated them.

From these nominees, we held a random drawing for a $10 gift card, generously donated by A Well Dressed Home, LLC , with one winner selected from each grade level.
