Sometime between May and October, Teddy & I are planning to run some tests in the Judean wilderness all the way to Eilat, for executing a LIVE Virtual Reality. If you have a Meta Quest Virtual Reality headset, you will be able to join us at certain times of the day LIVE when all goes as planned.

These tests are because we are planning to tour a large group of people around Israel with a local Beaumont TX church in late February 2027

In other words we'd like to take a tour group for the first LIVE VR Tour of Israel when it's cheapest and not too hot at Masada.

What that means is it will be open to the public to go and/or to join this tour via MetaQuest VR headset at specific places and times. Anyone worldwide with a Meta Quest VR headset can join us once the live broadcast starts. And oh yes, it will be real-time live on Israel time.

Just download the culturalXchange.org app on your Meta Quest VR headset for free.

That means when we arrive to our destination(s) each day and the Israeli archeologist begins to teach about what we are visiting at this very moment, you will be able to join us as if you are standing in the front of the group. Some of these people you will know because I'm asking YOU to go on the tour to Israel. Not virtual.

Save the dates and contact us here or the website while we work out those details for another "In the Footsteps of Jesus" Tour of Israel but this one will be filmed AND broadcast live in Virtual Reality from sites around Israel late Feb 2027.

Honestly, it's probably going to be about 5k to be in the group going on the plane & bus & live tour, but you can share your tour experience with folks back home real time, or even later from our app, as if they are were there with you. Seems like fun, eh?

The first culturalXchange.org LIVE tour that isn't virtual. :-)

I have a dream. He does the impossible. Who wants to go?

Israel Tour: CulturalXchange on Meta Quest | Quest VR Games 01/14/2026

Oh have I got some big news coming down the pike towards our goal of a LIVE VR Network from Israel by 2030! But it's under wraps for now....

Did you get a Meta Quest 3 for Christmas? Everyone is still using them for games but the time is coming...

Our culturalXchange.org "VR Tour of Israel" is STILL the ONLY thing in the Meta App Store if you do a search for "Israel" but we have added several more programs since you last visited. We have 7 hours of content that will be trickled out as people download the app, with a few hours already there.

On the app you also get a lot of "cultural Israel" programming. For example I filmed a documentary two days after a terrorist stabbed 11 people in Yaffe/Tel Aviv where you can still see blood stains in the sidewalk. You'll see Damascus from Mt Bengal and realize how a jet can go from Syria to Tel Aviv in under 5 minutes.

Coming online this week....MUSIC!

See MMIQEDEMin South Caroline, Shai Sol, YYaron Yerahmiel Cherniak Jeremiah Kaufman aka The Watchman, Alyosha Rabinov, Ashdod High School Girls Choir, and yours truly (Ted Pearce) in Jerusalem 2015.

Announcing a CX Franchise in Florida!

Today I am super proud to announce that culturalXchange.org has our first franchise partner and have opened a permanent full-time base in Florida.

There are so many churches and synagogues in Florida that want our VR tour that we really could circle Florida for a year and never do the same location twice. We have toured Florida for the entire month of February, November, and December in 2025 already and barely scratched the surface, so a permanent location in Florida is justified common sense.

Many of my friends already know my good friend, Matt McKeown, as “The Kosher Pastor” or maybe you know him as my co-produce and co-writer for the Shehekiyanu album? Or maybe you know him as the drummer on my “Ancient Gates” CD? Or maybe you know him from his many various podcasts and teachings?

Not only is Matt the Pastor of a Brethren Church in the Daytona Beach area, but he humbly serves as music leader at a local Jewish Federation synagogue on Friday evenings, AND at the local messianic synagogue on Saturday mornings. A wise bible teacher, a dedicated servant of the Lord, an amazing musician/Producer, and a true friend to Israel make him the perfect partner for our VR Tour of Israel experience. This is a big upgrade actually.

in 2022 he was one our first adopters, purchasing 35 VR headsets for his bible school. So just this week, Teddy and I were in Daytona to upgrade his VR headsets with our latest technological advances and realized how great it would be if Matt joined the team.

He accepted and we are SO very proud to announce a permanent franchise in Florida now. You will no longer have to wait for when we can schedule a trip from Texas. And of course, as a Pastor, Matt is a better bible teacher than I will ever be (not to mention more patient with a crowd) and this is an enormous step towards our real goal…a live VR Network from Israel by 2030.

SO…..if you are in Florida, there is now no time limit for when the tour is available for your group. (And remember we are already FREE on every MetaQuest headset worldwide in the app store) But now you can schedule an event for your group with confidence and certainty. Matt can do 30 people at a time for now (with multiple showings for any size group) as he begins building his franchise to accomodate a hundred or more. He can also lead worship or preach at these events where appropriate.

So everyone please welcome MATT MCKEOWN as our new franchise in Florida.

To get your Florida group on the schedule (or anywhere else), and/or to inquire about starting a franchise in your State, contact us here or through the website at www.culturalXchange.org

Thank you for your attention to this matter - t.

Hill of the Prophets bones?

On my second trip to Israel we went to the Karmel Monastery. So I'm taking this photo from the top of Mt Karmel, where Elihjah slew the 500 prophets of Baal. Our tour guide (whose name shall be withheld) told the group that this is called "Hill of the Prophets Bones" where they piled up the bodies of the prophets of Baal.

I've asked about that ever since and it appears to be false. No one else has ever heard that evidently...so our tour guide was probably just giving us some sensationalistic story to captivate our attention that day. OR maybe he knows something no one else knows? But that is how rumors get started....

On that same trip we were headed west from Jerusalem when our tour guide pointed out a house on northern hill and said it was the house of Samuel. (whom I thought lived in Shilo). A lady in the front of the bus asked if it was first or second Samuel.

Ben Y'hudah - shot 360 for 2D viewing 07/27/2025

In February of 2015 we took the 8-camera VR Go-Pro rig out on the streets of the Ben Y'huda district to get a feel for Israeli culture.

This is shot in 360VR, but intended for flatscreen viewing. The left side of the picture is what is in front of the you, the right half is behind you. Too much motion in this for 360 viewing but it looks cool "flat" so I made a documentary.

Hope you like it....

Our YouTube360 Channel has a good sampling of the four channels on culturalXchsange.org network in the app.

1. Biblical Israel
2. Cultural Israel
3. Music & Art
4. Documentaries and News

And it also has a few programs from a different app "The VR Day Tripper" where I take that camera on tour around the world to random sites, mostly nature and history.

After Yeshua was banished from Natzrit (Nazareth) he walked about a 9 hour journey on the north side of the Kinneret (which means "harp" but is translated as "Sea of Galilee"))

He would have had to walk through Migdal, where a fairly wealthy lady named Miriam lived. I wonder if that is where Mary Magdalen met Him first? It's not that big of a place, maybe a thousand people?

But He continued another mile or so east to the small village of K'far Nahum, maybe 1,500 people at it's biggest ever? But it sits between the Kinneret and the Via Maris, a super-highway going from Egypt to Syria and all points east where Mattityahu the Levite was taking toll taxes for Rome (and himself).

Standing on the small shoreline He met some professional fishermen. They were curious and asked a few questions. It wasn't long after that conversation started when He invited them to "follow Me and be fishers of men".

They left their nets that day but we can see that they didn't really stop fishing for fish as their occupation. In this village was a large house where one of those fisherman, Shimon Kefa, lived with his family and took care of his mother in law, the cook.

From there it's about 40 steps to the synagogue where Yeshua would go to pray four times a day and teach. His very first time, there was a man miraculously healed! When the service was over they all followed him back to Kefa's house and kept going.

Fame of the young Rabbi spread and now thousand are showing up. Where can you talk to 5,000 families without a PA system? It's right up the hill.

When you go to Israel you understand so much more than any book will ever explain.
